Membership requirements are governed by the Grand Lodge of Quebec. As a starting point, a prospective candidate should:
- Be a man of lawful age and good character
- Believe in a Supreme Being
- Seek membership of his own free will
- Be ready to invest time in learning and lodge life
- Approach others with tolerance, respect, and integrity

Curiosity is

You do not need to understand everything about Freemasonry before contacting us. Honest questions are welcome.
Do I need to know a Freemason to make an inquiry?+
No. You may contact the lodge directly. Starting a conversation is the best way to meet members and learn whether Freemasonry is right for you.
Is Freemasonry a religion?+
No. Freemasonry is a fraternity, not a religion, and it does not replace a member’s faith. Its teachings encourage moral reflection, tolerance, and respect.
What happens after I contact the lodge?+
A member will reach out for an informal conversation. You will have time to ask questions, meet members, and understand the process before deciding whether to petition.
How much time does membership require?+
Members attend regular meetings and take part in lodge life as their circumstances allow. We encourage candidates to discuss the practical commitment openly with us.
